1. You will always have your WhisperStreet web site name which works as your URL/domain name immediately. It would read: yourwebsitename.whisperstreet.com.
2. You can redirect or forward your existing URL/Domain name to your new website. Contact your current Domain Name Service (DNS) provider for directions on what information they require. We will supply you with our IP address for that on request.
3. You can do all of the above. You will automatically have the WhisperStreet name but many customers prefer to use their unique domain names in addition. It is possible to have several URLs linked to the same site.

1. We provide a short tutorial that takes you through a series of steps in building your first few pages. It can be found on the Help button on the navigation bar accessible to subscribers and those taking a free trial. It is quickly intuitive. In addition many questions are answered by clicking on the question marks scattered throughout the site building area.
2. You can browse through our sample sites and get ideas on how to organize your web site and use our page templates.
3. Send our support team an email at team@whisperstreet.com and we will get back as quickly as we can. Our online customer service is available from 9 to 5 EST on business days. We will response as quickly as possible.
4. We do have designers and copywriters available who could get you up and running if that would help. We charge for that service but for many it is comforting to have help just getting through the initial start up phase. Send a note to team@whisperstreet.com and we will contact you within one business day. Please provide a daytime telephone number. See our fee schedule in the FAQs.

1. You can try it out with no obligation for 10 days. Your Mail Center address book is limited for trial purposes. Just register your basic information and see for yourself how easy it is. If you have not signed up for our service and supplied a credit card for billing by the end of the ten-day period your site will be automatically deleted.
2. When you know WhisperStreet can make a difference for your business, click on the Account button on the navigation bar and go to Subscription. You supply your necessary billing and credit card information. We automatically renew your service and bill your credit card each month until you cancel.

1. Click into Account on the navigation bar and go to Subscription. There you can cancel service. You will need to provide WhisperStreet with your user name and password and your email address.
2. You can cancel at any time and your service will stop at the expiration of the monthly billing cycle in which your notice was received.
3. Please be aware your site will go down the last day of your billing cycle if you have canceled. Be careful to have downloaded any email contacts that you want to keep.

1. WhisperStreet service can handle gif, jpeg, PDF, tiff, png and wbmp.
2. We do not take Flash content. Most studies on effective web sites have found the majority of visitors click past the Flash to the web site content.
3. We accept digital images at any resolution. All image scaling and resizing is handled by our server. WhisperStreet software can make images smaller but we do not make them larger.

1. The WhisperStreet page templates can be used in a variety of ways and given unique name on your site each time you use the template. You can name and organize your web pages as you wish and place them on your site in any order you want. This order can be easily changed
2. Our Showcase pages offer a flexible grid approach which lets you put between one and 16 images or “showcase items” on a page. Behind each “showcase item” you can display up to 5 additional images that relate to your main image different views, complementary or related images. You can have as many individual showcases, and showcase items, on your site as you wish.
3. You can choose from several professionally designed color palettes for your site or you can put together your own color design.
4. You can select from a variety of font sizes and types.

Finding an economical and straightforward way to keeping in contact with your membership, your customers and prospects is critical for small businesses and non-profits. Our web based Mail Center offers up to 6 individualized email addresses connected to your site and the ability to collect, build and store multiple contacts in folders to facilitate easy communication by specific group.

We provide two page templates to help you gather input:

1. A Mailing List page template lets you put up a unique web page inviting viewers to sign up to receive your newsletters or communications. Online signups feed into your Mail Center “web folder”.
2. A Contact Us page template that invites any queries you designate. These messages can be directed to any email address you select.

For WhisperStreet users who desire an even more sophisticated Mail Center we have integrated a direct connection to the web based Horde productivity, messaging and project-management applications specifically for WhisperStreet clients. You will have a web based folder system, calendar, address book and to do list accessible from any browser.

There are four ways to get picked up and paid advertising is the only one that comes with a guarantee:

1. A search engine “crawler” or “spider” finds your site and automatically includes you in its search results. Under Account on the navigation bar there is a search engine page where you can enter your site description to facilitate this process.
2. You submit your site to individual search engines. You can submit yourself for free OR you can pay third parties to submit for you, which can speed up the process. To see how it is done visit

3. You can submit your site to directories, which are sometimes paid and sometimes free. Directories have real people behind them who assemble the information and make decisions and actually run the content directories. The Open Directory, which is free, is a volunteer built guide to the web to which you should certainly submit. Just enter Open Directory in any search engine. They are also the source of a lot of good information about the web and web marketing.
4. You can pay for listings ads in effect on individual search engines.

1. All web pages have hidden “meta” data --the key words that relate to the site words like custom dog coats, silver jewelry, remodeled kitchens, lake house and custom curtains tucked in their unseen code. Search engines will automatically scan this Meta data plus your headlines and description tags. There are firms and consultants that specialize in this field. You can pay them to help you. Or you can do your own research and experimentation and learn as you go.
2. WhisperStreet provides a straightforward link for your site through your account area where you insert key descriptive words that our software will automatically “embed” into the code behind your website. You can update that description anytime and as often as you like. Good key words are an art more than a science.
